Hello, my name is Gunnery Sergeant Jeremy C. Walsworth; I am the Toys for Tots (TFT) coordinator for San Angelo. Toys for Tots of San Angelo has begun for our 2011 campaign.

     Toys for Tots San Angelo started 14 years ago helping out just a hand full of children in the community. With the community support which our program has received over the past 14 years we have grown significantly. Under the guidance of Tony Palmer and the Mitchell Automotive Group Toys for Tots San Angelo now supports many charitable groups in the community totaling approximately 3500 children. Thank you Tony for your total dedication to the children of San Angelo!

     This year we again expect for the numbers of families to increase. If you wish to host an event or to donate services, please don’t hesitate to contact us (325) 227-7333. Our campaign will run from October 1st through December 18, 2011.

     I would like to personally thank all of you in the community who have stuck by our program for the past 14 years. Our children are our future and giving them hope is the greatest of gifts when all hope seems to be lost. The Marines of Marine Corps Detachment Goodfellow AFB, would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas and Happy New year! 

     Enrollments to receive toys from Toys for Tots are being handled by the Salvation Army.  Enrollments are conducted at the church, Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  On Wednesday's the hours are extended to 6:00 PM.  The Salvation Army Church is located at 34 W. 3rd Street here in San Angelo. Enrollment starts on Oct 17th and will run through Nov 4th. For information on enrollments and to ensure that you bring the appropriate documentation, please contact (325) 655-3838.
